The Man Kung MK-80A4PL (nicknamed the “Cobra”) is a nimble, fun and easy-to-use recurve pistol crossbow designed for shooting in tight spaces. With an 80lb draw delivering up to 160 FPS (≈49 m/s), it’s accurate to about 15metres and ideal for casual target practice, plinking and short-range sessions.
What sets the MK-80A4PL apart is its clever self-cocking mechanism - simply release and pull down the rear lever to draw the string and cock the bow with minimal effort. The crossbow also includes an adjustable sight for accurate aiming and a safety catch for reliable handling. Its lightweight design (just 599 g) makes it easy to carry and comfortable to shoot.
This version is ultralight, made of plastic with a fibreglass limb. We also stock the aluminium version!

Good to Know:
- We recommend either the 6.5" aluminium bolts or 6.5" plastic bolts from Man Kung
- We also have compatible spare strings for sale.
- Lube wax is recommended every 5 shots or so, for maximum performance and to increase the life of the string.
General Crossbow Info:
- Never point a crossbow at a human or animal, even prior to cocking!
- Do not dry fire any crossbow (that is fire without a bolt), since this will likely cause damage to the bow and user.
- Always remove any cocking ropes before shooting.
- Always read and understand the instructions before use!
